Trouble Shooting
1. Engine recoil operates but engine will not
start.
Fuel tank empty
Fuel shut-off valve at the fuel tank turned off

2. Engine starts but runs roughly.
Restricted fuel cap vent

Engine choke in “CHOKE” position
Restricted air cleaner element

3. The unit will not move when the Main Clutch
is engaged.
Wheel drive lever in ‘NEUTRAL” position
Main Clutch Lever(s) need adjustment
4. Tiller Tines will not operate.
Attachment jammed or damaged
Tine clutch lever in ‘NEUTRAL” position
5. Attachment operates slowly
Adjust engine throttle
Engine problems-See Engine Manual
6. The Wheel Drive Lever will not go into ‘Hi’ or
“Lo” when lever is moved.
Debris blocking the linkage
Gear teeth not in mesh (rock machine back and
forth while engaging lever)
