Clean the appliance at least once a month.
If you purchased the water ¿lter, sold separately, remove it from the tank before carrying out the
automatic cleaning cycle.
1 )ill the jug with a mixture consisting of  cups of white vinegar and 4 cups of fresh, clean water.

2 3lace a paper ¿lter for 812 cups in the ¿lter holder. Close the cover.
3 3ress the 0ODE button ¿ve times. The   starts Àashing. 3ress SEL to con¿rm.
4 3ress the coffee button  . The appliance beeps and starts the selfcleaning cycle. 3art of
the mixture will be dispensed into the jug, while the remaining will be retained in the circuits of
the machine for about 3 minutes before being completely dispensed into the jug. The entire
automatic cleaning cycle will last 45 minutes. When the selfcleaning cycle is ¿nished, the
appliance will beep and turn off automatically.

time, the appliance operation should be compromised, due to the constant use of hard and very
hard water, it is possible to carry out the machine descaling operation in order to eliminate the
malfunction. )or this purpose use only the citric acidbased descaling product NOCAL by Ariete.
This product can be easily found in the Ariete technical assistance service centres. Ariete is not
liable for damage to internal components of the coffee machine caused by the use of noncompliant
products due to the presence of chemical additives.

3 Start the dispensing cycle and wait to ¿ll half the jug.
4 3ress the coffee button  . The appliance switches off.

5 When the water has ¿nished dropping into the jug just remove the jug. Allow the water to cool
for 15 minutes.
 3our the mixture contained in the jug into the tank. Close the cover. 3lace the jug on the heating
plate.
7 Start another dispensing cycle and wait for the jug complete ¿lling. When the water has ¿nished
dropping into the jug just remove the jug.
