o It is nevertheless recommended that the installation is checked and serviced every year, even if it
is simply to ensure that all the components are operating efficiently and to avoid unnecessary
consumption of excess gas.
How can I save energy?
Here are a few pieces of advice for saving energy and heating the room and domestic hot water in an
environmentally-friendly way:
o Activate the AUTO function, to optimise the performance of the boiler in line with the type of system,
thereby assuring maximum comfort and energy saving.
o Activate the Comfort function to obtain the maximum hot water comfort level within 30 minutes from
the last hot water request, avoiding wasting gas by keeping the hot water hot even when it is not
necessary.
o To ensure the boiler operates at maximum efficiency, schedule regular maintenance work/services
once a year.
o Make sure that the house is well insulated, consider double glazing and airtight seals for doors and
windows, investing in improved insulation in order to save money by spending less on energy.
o When it is dark, shut the curtains or shutters. Windows are often the feature of a building where most
heat is lost.
o When letting fresh air into a room, do not leave the windows open for too long, but for a maximum of
5 - 10 minutes, closing the radiator valves if possible so as to avoid wasting energy.
o Keep the indoor temperature at a suitable level. On average, the temperature of the daytime zone
should be approximately 20°C, the temperature of the night time zone approximately 16 or 17°C,
which is suitable for sleeping (except for babies and small children) and the temperature of the
kitchen approximately 18°C, given that there are other sources of heat present in this room. The
ideal temperature for the bathroom is 22°C. An efficient control system, which enables programming
according to the time of day and the area of the house, is useful when attempting to save energy.
o Install a modern heating boiler.
Why is the use of modulating thermoregulation devices recommended?
The modulating thermoregulation device (Clima Manager, Room Sensor) adjusts the power level of the
boiler, bringing the room temperature closer to the desired comfort temperature
. In this mode the average
radiator temperature is lower than in traditional ON/OFF operation, with significant benefits in terms of air
quality, as there is less dust in circulation, and the user will notice the difference in comfort. The reduction in
ignition/switching off cycles resulting from modulating operation means that the appliance is subjected to
smaller thermal shocks, thereby increasing its reliability.
