3.7 SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
In order to improve ENERGY SAVING and COFORT are always active “Energy recovery”
e “Small tapping” functions.
3.7.1 Small tapping
Usually in standard boilers the ignition of the boiler is managed by a flow-meter that when the flow-rate
reaches a certain value (minimum flow-rate), gives the signal to the boiler to start to deliver hot water to the
user. Below this minimum flow-rate there is no DHW production, so only cold water can be supplied to the
user.
Usually the minimum flow-rate is around 1,6-2 l/min.
Tanhs to the flow-meter and 2 NTC sensors for DHW temperature control (in the tank and on the DHW flow
out of the plates exchanger), the boilers has a minimum flow rate of 0 l/min ! guaranteeing always DHW
delivery to the users.
The small tapping function has a double function :
- also if water demand is really small from 0 l/min to 4 l/min always delivers hot water at the set
temperature
- the electronic concept and the water stored in the tank allows to the boiler to work with an optimized
power only when the flow-rate is over 4 l/min or the tank sensor detects a temp far below the temp
set.
