What to do if Asco 7000 Switch doesn't transfer load to emergency source?
    • C
      christopher12Aug 13, 2025
If the Asco Switch doesn't transfer the load to the emergency source after the generator starts, verify that the generator output circuit breaker is closed and the generator frequency is at least 95% of nominal (57 Hz for a 60 Hz system). Also, ensure the voltmeter reads at least 90% of the nominal phase-to-phase voltage between terminals EA and EC (or EL1 and EL2 for 2-pole switches). You may need to wait for the Feature 2B time delay to time out.

Why won't my Asco 7000 Switch transfer the load back to normal source?
    • H
      Heather BrownAug 17, 2025
If the Asco Switch fails to transfer the load back to the normal source when power returns or when releasing the Transfer Control switch, ensure the voltmeter reads at least 90% of nominal phase-to-phase voltage between terminals NB and NC, NC and NA, and NA and NB (or NL1 and NL2 for 2 pole switches). Also, wait for the Feature 3A time delay to time out.

How to troubleshoot an Asco 7000 engine-generator set that won't start?
    • K
      kevincrawfordAug 20, 2025
If your Asco Switch engine-generator set doesn't start when holding the Transfer Test switch or when the normal power source fails, ensure the starting control is in the automatic position, and that batteries are charged and properly connected. Also, inspect the wiring to the engine starting contacts. Hold the Transfer Test switch for 15 seconds, or ensure the power outage lasts long enough for the Feature 1C time delay, engine cranking, and starting to complete.
