5 Start-up check list
l Ensure that a suitable diaphragm for your process has been installed into the valve
assembly, please refer to the advice in "Diaphragm selection" on the next page for
additional information.
l Ensure that all pipes, valves and other equipment in your fluid path are properly
supported and secured.
l Ensure that secure connections are achieved between the valve and any piping.
l Manual actuators - Ensure that easy and safe access is provided to the actuator handle,
to enable rapid shut off in case of emergency.
l Pneumatic actuators - Ensure proper and safe connection has been made to a suitable
air supply.
