How to troubleshoot Ashley AP5660L exhaust blower that does not operate normally?
    • B
      bradyrebeccaSep 10, 2025
Check all wiring connections to the exhaust blower. If the connections are good, apply 120 volts directly to the exhaust blower. If the blower still does not run, replace it.

What does it mean if the 200°F High-limit switch has tripped on my Ashley Wood stove?
    • P
      Patrick WilsonSep 9, 2025
Reset the switch and try to determine the cause, which is often a faulty circulation fan. If the circulation fan isn't working, test it by applying 120 volts directly to it; if it still doesn't operate, replace the fan.

Why does the Ashley Wood stove flame keep going out on 'LOW' setting?
    • M
      Matthew PhillipsSep 7, 2025
Try increasing the heat level on the control panel using the HEAT button, as poorer quality pellets may need a higher setting. If it's already on heat level 1, adjust the fuel feeding rate slightly using the Auger Trim button. The heater might also need more air.

What to do if Ashley Stove feeds pellets, but will not ignite?
    • R
      Rachel LiuAug 23, 2025
If your Ashley Stove is feeding pellets but not igniting, try these steps: First, adjust the air damper closer to the side of the stove for startup, even completely closing it if needed. Check for any blockages in the igniter tube or its inlet. Ensure the burnpot is pushed completely to the rear of the firebox. Test the igniter element to see if it glows after two minutes of direct power. Finally, check if the control board is sending full voltage to the igniter during startup; if not, and the wiring is good, the board may be faulty.

Why does my Ashley AP5660L Wood stove door glass have soot buildup and lazy flame?
    • J
      Joseph StarkSep 5, 2025
The vent pipe (including air intake) might be dirty or partially blocked, restricting airflow. The intake butterfly valve could be set too low. Check for blocked burn pot holes and clean the burn pot and housing after the unit cools (following ash disposal instructions). Also, ensure the combustion/exhaust blower is operating; if not, test it by applying 120 volts directly to the exhaust blower motor, and replace the motor if it doesn't work. Poor fuel quality can also cause this issue, so try a different brand of pellets.

What to do if my Ashley AP5660L Wood stove heater will not shut off?
    • C
      carrollcraigSep 4, 2025
If you're using a room thermostat, ensure it's set lower than the room temperature. Try disconnecting one of the wires to the exhaust temperature sensor; the heater should shut off, indicating the sensor needs replacement. You can also try to depress the ON/OFF button to 'OFF'.

How to troubleshoot Ashley Wood stove that will not light?
    • M
      mary93Sep 2, 2025
First, ensure the Ashley Wood stove is properly plugged into a functioning wall outlet. If it still won't light, unplug it and inspect all electrical connections using the wiring diagram in the manual. Also, check the fuse on the circuit board and make sure that if a thermostat is connected, it's set to call for heat.

    Christine GarnerSep 1, 2025
Why does the convection blower shut off and come back on in my Ashley Stove?
    • D
      dwhiteSep 1, 2025
If the convection blower on your Ashley Stove shuts off and comes back on, it might be overheating. Try cleaning any dust off the windings and fan blades. If that doesn't help, the blower itself may be faulty. It could also be a circuit board malfunction. Test the current going to the convection blower; if power is being sent when it's shut off, the control board is fine, but if there's no power, the control board is likely bad.

How to stop smoke smell coming back into home from Ashley Stove?
    • J
      Jessica JenningsAug 31, 2025
If you're experiencing a smoke smell coming back into your home from your Ashley Stove, check for leaks in the vent pipe system, sealing all connections with high-temperature RTV silicone and UL-181-AP foil tape. Also, inspect the gaskets on the combustion blower to ensure they are in good condition.

Why does the glass soot up so fast on my Ashley Stove?
    • B
      bryantkimberlyAug 30, 2025
If the glass on your Ashley Stove is sooting up quickly, several factors could be responsible. Ensure the stove and vent pipe are clean to allow proper airflow through the burnpot. Verify the vent pipe is installed correctly. Adjust the air damper; if it's too closed for the heat setting, open it more. Clean any blocked burnpot holes. Inspect the air damper assembly for damage. Check the air intake pipe for blockages. Test the combustion blower's RPM, which should be around 3000 after cleaning the blades. Finally, consider that the pellets may be of poor quality; try a different brand or wood type.
