1010C HEAD ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

Disassemble the unit to the Troubleshooting stage as described in Section 3, page 3-
10.
. Follow the set-up procedure in the HEAD ALIGNMENT TEST page 3-3, steps 1-5.
Insert the tape in the drive mechanism.
Attach the scope probe to pin 11 of the unused I/O connector (refer to figure 3-1 for
pin locations).
NOTE: Use Pin 4 as referenced ground.
Set the time base of the scope at .1 ms per division.
Type POKE 54018,52 on the computer and press RETURN.
. Press the PLAY button on the 1010.
Turn the Head Adjustment Screw on the 1010 as illustrated in Figure 4-6 until the
maximum peak-to-peak signal is at least 660 mv, as illustrated in Figure 4-5.
