G - Operations to be carried out in case of
faults
1 - Air leaking from valve (15) of pressure switch (7) Fig. 4.
During operation:
This is due to malfunctioning of check valve (15) Fig. 4.
During shutdown:
This is due to malfunctioning of the rubber disc of retaining
box (19) Fig6.
To correct it:
- Fully discharge the air from the tank (9) Fig. 7
- Unscrew hexagonal nut (18) Fig. 6 on valve (5) Fig. 1,
- Clean and replace rubber disc (19) if necessary, as well as
its seat (20) Fig. 6, Carefully reinstall the assembly.
2 - Air leak
- Check all couplings with soapy water.
3 - Compressor unexpected stop
- Check the electrical supply system and make sure that the
line voltage complies with the value indicated on the label
(2) Fig. 1.
NOTE
Voltage may vary by ± 5% from the value mentioned on the
plate. Outside these limits, the motor can burn out.
Check pressure switch (7) Fig. 4 and its thermal protection.
For models fitted with a fuse, reset switch (17) Fig. 4 in case of
thermal protection disconnection. If the problem still occurs,
measure current voltage and adjust protection setting if
necessary.
4 - Too frequent restarts
- Increase pressure differential of pressure switch (7) Fig. 4,
check complete network for potential leaks and check con-
dition of valves. If this operation is inoperative, contact
retailer.
5 - The compressor fails to pressurize
- Check valves and cylinder head gaskets of compressor (4)
Fig. 1.
6 - The safety valve (6) Fig. 1-8 operates before maximum
pressure is reached
- Check setting of pressure switch.
- Replace valve (this safety element is sealed and can only
be calibrated by an approved organization) if this problem
persists.
7 - The compressor fails to restart
- Cut the electrical power supply.
- Manually check that the compressor is not stuck.
- Manually reset the thermal protection device.
Restart the machine.

- Disconnect and depressurize the compressor before servicing

between 2 restart operations)
I - Decommissioning at the end of
compressor life cycle
1. Stop compressor and close the air oulet valve,
2. Disconnect compressor from the electrical system,
3. Depressurize compressor and tank.
