Quartz glass cleaning:
(Figure 6, 8, 11, 12 16 to 19, page 5, 8 to 13)
If the water turns green, clean the quartz glass (6) first.
If the UV-C lamp (4) has burned 7000 hours or when the water turns green
again, the UV-C lamp (4) must be replaced.
Please observe the safety instructions.
CAUTION: UV-C light is harmful to skin and eyes. Always turn off the UV-C lamp
before starting any work.
CAUTION: water may flow when disconnecting and opening the pressure
filter, make sure that this water cannot cause damage.
1) Turn off the pump and the pressure filter by unplugging them.
2) If taps are installed in the pipes close them, before disconnecting the
pipes.
3) Disconnect all pipes (Fig. 6 - A, F and G) from the pressure filter.
4) Remove the clamping ring (15) from the pressure filter (fig.8 A-D).
5) Slowly lift the cover with the quartz glass straight up from the pressure
filter. Note that the quartz glass is fragile (fig.9).
6) Clean and dry the quartz glass (6) with clean tap or pond water and a
soft clean cloth, avoid scratches.
7) If the quartz glass (6) is damaged, it must be replaced. See: Replacing
UV-c lamp and quartz glass on page 21.
8) Replace the o-ring (16) on the tank (Fig.11).
9) Replace the cover with the quartz glass slowly, standing upright. Pay
attention to the FIX point (fig.9 and 12). Please note that the quartz
glass is fragile.
10) Replace and clamp the clamping ring (15) (fig.8 E-H).
11) Reconnect all pipes to the pressure filter:
(remember the seal (21))
a) Reinstall the supply hose/tube on connection (A).
b) Reinstall the return hose/tube on connection (F).
c) Refit the waste water hose/tube to connection (G).
12) Put the pump into operation by plugging in the mains plug. When doing
so, observe the pump's instructions.
13) If there is no leakage, the pressure filter can be put into operation by
plugging in the mains plug.
Replacing UV-c:
(Figure 5, 13, 15-19, page 4, 9 to 13):
If the water turns green, and the quartz glass (6) has already been cleaned then
the UV-c lamp (4) will probably need to be replaced.
The UV-c lamp (4) should also be replaced at about 7000 hours of use.
If the lamp is used 24 hours a day, we recommend replacing it every season.
Please observe the safety instructions.
CAUTION: UV-C light is harmful to skin and eyes. Always turn off the UV-C lamp
before starting any work.
1) Turn off the pump and pressure filter by unplugging the plugs.
