The Autel MaxiCharger DC Fast is an electric vehicle charging station designed for safe, reliable, fast, and smart charging solutions. It is suitable for various applications including fleet, highway, commercial parking, and other uses. The MaxiCharger is available in different power configurations, ranging from 60 kW to 240 kW, with increments of 20 kW.

  • Smart Cloud Portal with Remote Diagnostics: Enables remote monitoring, upgrades, diagnosis, and services, identifying issues during operation.
  • Dynamic Load Balancing: Optimizes power distribution.
  • ISO 15118 Plug & Charge: Supports seamless charging without additional authentication.
  • Charging Process:
    • Authorization: Users can initiate a charge session by scanning a QR code, using an RFID card, or a credit card (optional). Plug & Charge (ISO 15118 PnC function) is also supported.
    • Standby Screen: Displays connector options, home button, cost information, and language options. An "x" on the Internet icon indicates no connection.
    • Charging Screen: Shows charging duration, volume, cost, and power. Users can tap the Right Arrow button for more details like State of Charge (SoC), current, and voltage.
    • Stopping a Charge: Users can unplug the vehicle or tap the "Stop" button on the touchscreen. If a session stops unexpectedly, re-authorization is required.
  • Emergency Stop Button: In case of an emergency, pushing the emergency stop button will stop all charge sessions and display a "Fault" message on the touchscreen.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the MaxiCharger's optimal performance and safety.

  • Installation:
    • Foundation Preparation: Requires digging a hole according to specified dimensions (e.g., 32 x 25 x 20 inches for DF120) and embedding cables with a conduit.
    • Cabinet Installation: Involves moving the cabinet using a hoist or forklift, securing it to the foundation with expansion bolts, and ensuring proper electrical wiring.
    • Electrical Wiring: Includes installing the cable gland plate, connecting the PE wire to the PE busbar, grounding the enclosure, connecting AC input wires, and connecting to the internet via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.
    • SIM Card Installation: For cellular network connectivity.
    • Charging Module Installation: Modules are slowly pushed into their designated slots, with the number of modules varying based on the power configuration (e.g., 3 PCS for 60 kW, 6 PCS for 120 kW).
  • Powering Up: Involves ensuring upstream breakers are off, tightening screws, checking circuit connections with a multimeter, setting main breakers to ON, and verifying indicators on CCU, ECU, TCU, and the screen display.
  • Powering Down: Requires setting the upstream breaker to OFF, opening the front door, measuring AC and DC voltages (should be 0 V), and closing the door.
  • Routine Maintenance (Visual Inspection):
    • Frequency: Every 3 months for connectors and input cables; annually for inlet and outlet air filters; every 6 months for the cabinet.
    • Checks: Inspect cables and connectors for cracks/ruptures, display for damage, coating of the cabinet for cracks/ruptures/rust, and the overall cabinet for damage.
    • Special Inspections: Check for lightning strikes, accident/fire damage, or flooding.
  • Cleaning and Replacing Air Filters:
    • Inlet Air Filter: Replaced annually.
    • Outlet Air Filter: Replaced annually. Involves removing the bezel, taking out the filter and fixing board, cleaning or replacing the filter, and reassembling.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive table of error codes, possible causes, and solutions, including remote restart/reset or contacting Autel technical support.
  • Remote Maintenance: The MaxiCharger connects to the Autel cloud platform for real-time parameter monitoring, remote upgrades, diagnosis, and services. Autel service engineers can check logs, update configurations, and provide remote maintenance.
  • Condensation Removal: If the MaxiCharger is de-energized for more than four hours, the internal heater should be activated to remove condensation.
