Ethernet Routing Switch 5000 Series
Avaya’s Stackable Chassis solution for the premium Enterprise Wiring Closet, Data Center Top of
Rack or Small Enterprise Core. Delivering the highest levels of performance and the most
advanced and scalable software features; 10/100/1000 and Layer 3 Routing, with PoE and 10GbE
options, the 5000 is the strategic platform for Customers whose business is reliant upon the most
demanding applications.
Most recent introductions are the 5600 models: even greater internal and Stacking performance,
and integrated 10GbE slots. Available as 50 (48+2) and 98 (96+2) with or with PoE, and a new 32
port 1GbE/10GbE model. Aimed squarely at the top end of the market these units offer a high
degree of flexibility to compliment their unmatched performance; the 5632FD being ideally suited
as the Data Centre or Distribution Tier consolidation device – bridging 1 & 10 Gigabit.
Typical Configuration: Switch (includes Rack Mount Kit) with Country-specific Power Cord. Add Pluggables, Redundant Power –
either RPS 15 for 5500 models or additional PSUs for 5600 models, & Advanced License Kit as required.
