or CAPIor CAPI
or CAPIor CAPI
or CAPI. This driver creates the
conditions under which telephony software based on TAPI
2.1 can be implemented with the ISDN-Controller FRITZ!Card.
The special advantage of the AVM system drivers is that the
entire range of CAPI functions continues to be supported. This
means that not only special ISDN applications like FRITZ!, but
also the system drivers can work simultaneously in send and
receive modes on both ISDN B channels.
For detailed information about the installation and im-
plementation of the AVM system drivers, see the help files
CAPIPT95NT.HLP, NDIS*-e.HLP and TAPI95NT.HLP in the \SOFT-
WARE folder on the CD.
How to Assign Multiple Subscriber Numbers
Incoming calls from ISDN are distinguished not only by their
multiple subscriber number, but also by their service indicator.
Multiple Subscriber Numbers for FRITZ! Modules
To receive telefaxes and data with FRITZ!, different multiple sub-
scriber numbers (MSNs) need not be assigned to these applica-
tions, as FRITZ!fax accepts only calls with the service indicator
“voice”, while FRITZ!data is responsible for calls with the “data”
service indicator.
FRITZ!fax, FRITZ!vox and FRITZ!fon, on the other hand, all use the
same service indicator (“voice analog”). For these modules to
be able to accept calls simultaneously and independently of
each other, FRITZ!fax and FRITZ!fon, as well as any telephone
which might be connected, must be assigned to accept calls to
different MSNs. Individual MSNs may be specified for each
module on the “ISDN” page of the module settings.
Multiple Subscriber Numbers for the CAPI Port Driver
Specific numbers for incoming and outgoing calls may also be
configured for the CAPI Port Driver. This offers such options as
recording on-line charges for an outgoing MSN. These MSNs are
set using AT commands. AT commands for the virtual modems
of the CAPI Port Driver are set as follows: Open “Start / Settings
