Exposurezone:Theexposurezonetellsthecameratoprioritizeimagequalityinthemostimportantpartofthescene.Selectthe
partofthesceneofgreatestinteresttocalculatetheautomaticexposurelevels,forexampletheareainfrontofanentrancedoor.
Note
Theexposurezonesarerelatedtotheoriginalimage(un-rotated),andthenamesofthezonesapplytotheoriginalimage.
Thismeans,forexample,thatifthevideostreamisrotated90°,thentheUpperzonebecomestheRightzoneinthe
stream,andLeftbecomesLower.
•Automatic:Suitableformostsituations.
•Center:Usesaxedareainthecenteroftheimagetocalculatetheexposure.Theareahasaxedsizeand
positionintheliveview.
•Full
:Usestheentireliveviewtocalculatetheexposure.
•Upper
:Usesanareawithaxedsizeandpositionintheupperpartoftheimagetocalculatetheexposure.
•Lower
:Usesanareawithaxedsizeandpositioninthelowerpartoftheimagetocalculatetheexposure.
•Left
:Usesanareawithaxedsizeandpositionintheleftpartoftheimagetocalculatetheexposure.
•Right
:Usesanareawithaxedsizeandpositionintherightpartoftheimagetocalculatetheexposure.
•Spot:Usesanareawithaxedsizeandpositionintheliveviewtocalculatetheexposure.
•Custom:Usesanareaintheliveviewtocalculatetheexposure.Youcanadjustthesizeandpositionofthearea.
Maxshutter:Selecttheshutterspeedtoprovidethebestimage.Lowshutterspeeds(longerexposure)mightcausemotionblur
whenthereismovement,andatoohighshutterspeedmightaffecttheimagequality.Maxshutterworkswithmaxgainto
improvetheimage.
Maxgain:Selectthesuitablemaxgain.Ifyouincreasethemaxgain,itimprovesthevisiblelevelofdetailindarkimages,but
alsoincreasesthenoiselevel.Morenoisecanalsoresultinincreaseduseofbandwidthandstorage.Ifyousetthemaxgain
toahighvalue,imagescandifferalotifthelightconditionsareverydifferentfromdaytonight.Maxgainworkswithmax
shuttertoimprovetheimage.
P-Irisupload
:Selecttheinstalledandsupportedlens.Restartthecameraforthechangestotakeeffect.
Blur-noisetrade-off:Usetheslidertoadjusttheprioritybetweenmotionblurandnoise.Ifyouwanttoprioritizelowbandwidth
andhavelessnoiseattheexpenseofdetailsinmovingobjects,movetheslidertowardsLownoise.Ifyouwanttoprioritizethe
preservationofdetailsinmovingobjectsattheexpenseofnoiseandbandwidth,movetheslidertowardsLowmotionblur.
Note
Youcanchangetheexposureeitherbyadjustingtheexposureorbyadjustingthegain.Ifyouincreasetheexposuretime,
itresultsinmoremotionblur,andifyouincreasethegainitresultsinmorenoise.IfyouadjusttheBlur-noisetrade-off
towardsLownoise,theexposurewillpreferlongerexposuretimesoversensorgainwhentheexposureisincreased,and
theoppositeifyouadjustthetrade-offtowardsLowmotionblur.Boththegainandexposuretimewilleventuallyreach
theirmaximumvaluesinlow-lightconditions,regardlessofthepriorityset.
Lockaperture:TurnontokeeptheaperturesizesetbytheApertureslider.Turnofftoallowthecameratoautomaticallyadjust
theaperturesize.Youcan,forexample,locktheapertureforsceneswithpermanentlightconditions.
Aperture:Usetheslidertoadjusttheaperturesize,thatis,howmuchlightpassesthroughthelens.Toallowmorelighttoenter
thesensorandtherebyproduceabrighterimageinlow-lightconditions,movetheslidertowardsOpen.Anopenaperturealso
reducesthedepthofeld,whichmeansthatobjectsclosetoorfarfromthecameracanappearunfocused.Toallowmoreof
theimagetobeinfocus,movetheslidertowardsClosed.
Exposurelevel:Usetheslidertoadjusttheimageexposure.
Defog
:Turnontodetecttheeffectsoffoggyweatherandautomaticallyremovethemforaclearerimage.
