  If your Axis Security Camera's IP address has been changed by DHCP, and the camera and client are on the same network, use AXIS IP Utility to locate the camera by its model or serial number. Alternatively: 1. Move the camera to an isolated network without a DHCP or BOOTP server. 2. Set the IP address again using AXIS IP Utility or ARP/Ping commands. 3. Access the unit and disable DHCP in the TCP/IP settings, then return the unit to the main network. Now, the unit has a fixed IP address that won't change.

  If there's a possible IP address conflict with another device on the same subnet when using your Axis Security Camera, it's because the static IP address in the camera is used before the DHCP server sets a dynamic address. To avoid access problems, set the static IP address in the camera to 0.0.0.0.

This feature will attempt to automatically configure the router to allow access to the camera. This is enabled from Setup > System Options > Network > TCP/IP Advanced. Note that the router must support UPnPTM.

To improve the frame rate of your Axis Security Camera, consider the following: * Reduce the number of applications running on the client computer. * Limit the number of simultaneous viewers. * Lower the image resolution. * Check in the AMC Control Panel (H.264 tab) that video processing is set to Decode all frames possible. Also, ensure enough bandwidth is available.
