Howdoesestimatingoccupancywork?
Youcanusetheapplicationtoestimateoccupancyinareaswithoneorseveralentrancesandexits.Eachentranceandexitneedstobe
equippedwithanetworkcamerawithAXISPeopleCounterinstalled.Ifthereareseveralcameras,theycommunicatewitheachother
overthenetworkinaprimaryandsecondaryconcept.Theprimarycameracontinuouslyfetchesdatafromthesecondarycamerasand
presentsthedataintheliveview.Everyfteenminutes,theprimarycamerasendsthestatisticaldatatoAXISStoreDataManager.
Consequently,thereportsgeneratedfromAXISStoreDataManagercanpresentthedatainaminimumof15minutestimeinterval.
AXISObjectAnalytics
AXISObjectAnalyticsisananalyticapplicationthatcomespreinstalledonthecamera.Itdetectsobjectsthatmoveinthesceneand
classiesthemas,forexample,humansorvehicles.Youcansetuptheapplicationtosendalarmsfordifferenttypesofobjects.To

Productspecicconsiderations
Forbestresults,thecameramustbecorrectlymounted.Therearealsorequirementsonthescene,imageandobjects.
•Mountthecamerauptoamaximumheightof3m(9.8ft).
•Humansinthecenteroftheimageareunlikelytobeclassied.
•Objectsneartheedgeoftheimageappearsmallerthanobjectsnearthecenterandarethereforeunlikelytobedetected.
Tominimizetheriskofmisseddetections,werecommendaheightofatleast8%oftotalimageradiusforhumans
and6%oftotalimageradiusforvehicles.
