FirmwareupgradefailureIfthermwareupgradefails,thedevicereloadsthepreviousrmware.Themostcommonreason
isthatthewrongrmwarelehasbeenuploaded.Checkthatthenameofthermwarele
correspondstoyourdeviceandtryagain.

Ifyouexperienceproblemsafterarmwareupgrade,rollbacktothepreviouslyinstalledversion
fromtheMaintenancepage.
ProblemssettingtheIPaddress
Thedeviceislocatedona
differentsubnet
IftheIPaddressintendedforthedeviceandtheIPaddressofthecomputerusedtoaccessthe
devicearelocatedondifferentsubnets,youcannotsettheIPaddress.Contactyournetwork
administratortoobtainanIPaddress.
TheIPaddressisbeingused
byanotherdevice
DisconnecttheAxisdevicefromthenetwork.Runthepingcommand(inaCommand/DOSwindow,
typepingandtheIPaddressofthedevice):
Ifyoureceive:Replyfrom<IPaddress>:bytes=32;time=10...
thismeansthattheIPaddressmayalreadybeinusebyanotherdeviceonthenetwork.
ObtainanewIPaddressfromthenetworkadministratorandreinstallthedevice.
Ifyoureceive:Requesttimedout,thismeansthattheIPaddressisavailable
forusewiththeAxisdevice.Checkallcablingandreinstallthedevice.
PossibleIPaddressconict
withanotherdeviceonthe
samesubnet
ThestaticIPaddressintheAxisdeviceisusedbeforetheDHCPserversetsadynamicaddress.
ThismeansthatifthesamedefaultstaticIPaddressisalsousedbyanotherdevice,theremay
beproblemsaccessingthedevice.

Forauthenticationtoworkproperly,thedateandtimesettingsintheAxisdevicemustbe
