TheEventpagesallowyoutoconguretheAxisproducttoperformactionswhendifferenteventsoccur.Forexample,theproduct

canstartarecordingorsendanemailnoticationwhenmotionisdetected.Thesetofconditionsthatdeneshowandwhen

theactionistriggerediscalledanactionrule.

SetUpActionRules

Anactionruledenestheconditionsthatmustbemetfortheproducttoperformanaction,forexamplerecordvideoorsendan

emailnotication.Ifmultipleconditionsaredened,allofthemmustbemettotriggertheaction.

Thefollowingexampledescribeshowtosetupanactionruletorecordvideotoanetworkshareifthereismovementinthe

Setupmotiondetectionandaddanetworkshare:

Setuptheactionrule:

1.GotoEvents>ActionRulesandclickAdd.

2.SelectEnableruleandenteradescriptivenamefortherule.

3.SelectDetectorsfromtheTriggerdrop-downlist.

4.SelectMotionDetectionfromthedrop-downlist.Selectthemotiondetectionwindowtouse.

5.Optionally,selectaScheduleandAdditionalconditions.Seebelow.

6.UnderActions,selectRecordVideofromtheTypedrop-downlist.

7.SelectaStreamproleandconguretheDurationsettingsasdescribedbelow.

8.SelectNetworkSharefromtheStoragedrop-downlist.

Tousemorethanonetriggerfortheactionrule,selectAdditionalconditionsandclickAddtoaddadditionaltriggers.Whenusing

additionalconditions,allconditionsmustbemettotriggertheaction.

Topreventanactionfrombeingtriggeredrepeatedly,aWaitatleasttimecanbeset.Enterthetimeinhours,minutesandseconds,

duringwhichthetriggershouldbeignoredbeforetheactionrulecanbeactivatedagain.

TherecordingDurationofsomeactionscanbesettoincludetimeimmediatelybeforeandaftertheevent.SelectPre-triggertime

and/orPost-triggertimeandenterthenumberofseconds.WhenWhiletheruleisactiveisenabledandtheactionistriggered

againduringthepost-triggertime,therecordingtimewillbeextendedwithanotherpost-triggertimeperiod.
