providestate-of-the-artsafetyprotectioninthe
processofaddingfueltothetank.Whilemost
ofthefuelsystemontheboatisinaccessible
toowners/operators,thefuelllwasdesigned
toensuretheprocessoffuelingupisassafeas
possibleandeicient.
Thefuelllislocatedonthestarboardsideof
theboattowardtheaft.Thefuelllleadstoasin-
glefueltankbeneaththesub-oorinthecockpit.
 Thereshouldbenospit-backoroverllatland-basedgasstationsinNorth
America.However,therequirementsthateliminatethoseissuesarenotapplicable
tosomegasolineservicestationsinothercountriesorevenatsomemarinasin
NorthAmerica.Therefore,careshouldalwaysbetakenwhilefuelingtheboat.Do
notstandtooclosetothefuellllocationincasesomefuelisexpelledfromthepressurized
system.Donotsmokewhilelling,anddonotuseacellphone.Youmayalsohearanaudible
releaseofairpressurewhenopeningthecap.Payattentiontoensurethatgasolineisentering
onlyintotheboat’sfuelllandnotspillingorrunningoutsidethefuelll.
 Notethatthersttimetheboat’sfueltankislled,theprocessmayseemslow.Thisis
becausefuelisdisplacingairthatwasinthetank.Aftertherstfulltank,llingshouldproceed
atapproximatelythesamepaceasonewouldexpectinllinglandvehicles.
Gasoline is extremely ammable. Under some conditions, particularly
those that allow fuel fumes to accumulate in enclosed areas, gas can be
explosive as well. Avoid smoking while lling the gas tank or allowing
any sparks in the area. Never run the boat engine while lling the gas
tank. If any gas is spilled, clean it up with clean rags and dispose of properly on land. Avoid using a cell
phone while pumping gas.
