PROGRAMMING SURESHOT RACK MOUNTED CONTROLLER
As delivered, the 4 relays are set for momentary operation and
the serial data strings are NULL. The SureShot™ Controller is
programmed using the Windows graphical user interface (GUI)
software, which is included. Run the install program from the
enclosed CD on any Windows-based PC. The PC must have a
serial port or a USB-to-serial adapter.
After installing the software, connect the PC to Port 1 of the
SureShot™ Controller using the serial programming cable
included with the unit. This programming cable is basically a
NULL MODEM cable with female connectors on both ends.
Additionally, pins 9 and 5 have a jumper between pins 9 and 5,
which allows the Controller to sense that it is to go into
programming mode. The cable tells it to switch from the stored
parameters for Port 1 to 115,200 baud, 8N1, which are used for
programming.
With the cable connected and the SureShot™ Controller powered
up, open the programming software on the PC. The PC will query
the Controller for all stored parameters and display them on the
screen.
When the programming cable is disconnected, Port 1 will revert to
the stored data parameters for that port.
