3.1. INSTALLATION AND STARTING UP
3.1.1. Connection to the mains
The voltage of the electrical installation must correspond to the voltage +10 % and - 6% indicated
on the plaque of the machine (it is located on the back of the machine).
Ensure that the electrical installation and the plug, socket and switch have the tolerances for the
current draw of the machine. The average current draw of the machines in the STEP series, for 12
hours and the sale of 50 packets of cigarettes, is of 80 w for the machines that have a Display for
the prices of sale of the product in each product selection and of 60 w for the machines that do
not have them.
To connect the machine to the mains, do following:
1º Remove the panel at the back of the machine with Phillips screwdriver.
2º Take out the power lead and replace the cover with the grommet fitted.
3º Connect the plug of the machine to the mains and switch on the main switch on the
Power supply.
Check in the Display is working correctly.

If the machine has no price of sale programmed it will go into «Out of
Order» status

The machine has dangerous voltages. Do not manipulate anything with the
High Voltage symbol
The plug on the machine has an earth. It is necessary to connect it to a
socket that has an earth in good condition. The manufacturer declines all
responsibility in cases where these conditions are not fulfilled.
