Why does the upper thread keep breaking on my Baby Lock Sewing Machine?
    • J
      James MartinezJul 30, 2025
The upper thread might be breaking on your Baby Lock Sewing Machine due to several reasons: the machine wasn't threaded correctly (incorrect spool installation, wrong spool cap, missed needle bar thread guide, etc.), the thread is knotted or tangled, the thread is too thick for the needle, the upper thread tension is too strong, the needle is bent or blunt, or the needle is installed incorrectly. To resolve this, rethread the machine correctly, remove any knots or tangles, check the fabric/thread/needle combination table and select the appropriate combination, adjust the thread tension, replace the needle, or reinstall the needle correctly.

What to do if the thread was accidentally cut and the bobbin thread is caught inside my Baby Lock Symphony BLSY?

      Matthew RileyAug 13, 2025
If the thread was accidentally cut automatically and the bobbin thread is caught inside your Baby Lock Sewing Machine, here's what you should do: Cut the thread near the fabric above the needle plate, and then remove the fabric. Remove the bobbin, and then hold it out toward the left side of the machine. Lower the presser foot and apply slight tension on the bobbin thread.
