BELT TRACKING
• Incorrect belt tracking will cause an accelerated degree of wear on the belt, regardless of how good of quality the belt may
be.
• The following guidelines are provided so that the correct procedures can be adopted for any problems arising out of oblique
travel of the belt.
TRACKING CONVEYORS BELTS
• Tracking of feeder, Transfer, Fines and Mid-grade conveyors takes place at the tail drum.
• Tracking of Oversize conveyor takes place at the Drive drum.
• Once you have decided which side of the drum needs to be adjusted, rotate the nut clockwise or anti-clockwise depending
on whether the drum needs to be pulled back or pushed forward.
