ENGINE MAINTENANCE
For detailed engine maintenance procedures please refer to the engine manufacturers operators manual.
• Checking engine oil level.
• Open power unit doors.
• Remove dipstick from engine, clean and reinsert.
• Remove dipstick and check that oil is between min and max.
• If oil is below minimum level, fill to max mark with manufacturers recommended oil.
• Changing oil and filter.
• Run engine until warm.
• Stop the engine, remove filler cap, remove drain plug from bottom of engine and allow waste oil to run into a container under-
neath.
• Allow all oil to drain from engine.
• Remove old engine oil filter and dispose of according to local authority rules.
• Fill new filter with oil, place a light film of oil on the filter seal, and hand tighten only.
• Replace drain plug and fill with recommended oil.
• Start engine and run for five minutes on low revs.
• Check engine oil level.
• Changing air filter element.
• Make sure engine is turned off.
• Remove filter cover and extract the old filter.
• Clean inside filter housing.
• Insert new filter and replace filter cover.
• Changing the fuel filter.
• Unscrew filter.
• Remove filter element and clean housing.
• Replace the filter element.
• Fill the filter with diesel.
• Hand tighten the filter.
• Draining the Water trap.
• Loosen the drain at the bottom of the trap.
• Allow water to drain out.
• Tighten the drain.
