SAFETYOPERATIONMAINTENANCE SETUP
General Operating Instructions
The Saw features a variable speed Trigger. For increased strokes per minute, squeeze the
Trigger harder. For decreased strokes per minute, apply less pressure to the Trigger.
Note: When cutting softer materials,
use a faster speed. When cutting harder
materials, use a slower speed.
WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: Do
not use a dull or cracked Blade. Check that the Blade
and Shoe are secured tightly before every use.
General Cutting
1. Install the Blade and adjust the Shoe for the job.
2. Make sure that the Trigger Lock is to the right
(locked position) and the Trigger is in the
off-position, then attach the Battery Pack.
3. Operate the Saw with two hands. Hold the
Housing and Trigger with one hand. Hold
the front end of the tool with your other
hand. Keep all fingers behind the handle
recess but do not cover the vent holes.
4. Once the Blade is securely installed, push the
Trigger Lock to the left to release the Trigger.
5. To begin sawing, rest the front of the Shoe on
your workpiece with the blade above the work.
IMPORTANT: Do not start the Saw if the Blade
is in contact with anything before operation.
6. Gently squeeze the Trigger to start the Saw.
Allow the Saw to come up to speed before
making contact with the workpiece.
7. Guide the blade into the workpiece, allowing the
Saw to do the cutting for you. Follow the cut. Do
not exert excessive pressure on the workpiece.
WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY:
Keep the Shoe pressed firmly against the
workpiece while cutting to prevent tool kickback.
8. To stop the Saw, release the Trigger. Allow
the Saw to come to a complete stop and
then set the Trigger Lock to the right (locked
position) before setting tool down.
9. To prevent accidents after use, turn off the tool and
be sure the Trigger Lock is in the locked position.
Remove the Blade and Battery Pack. Clean, then
store the tool indoors out of children’s reach.
Plunge Cutting
Plunge cut into plywood and thin board panels. Do not attempt to plunge cut into thick, hard wood or metal panels.
WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY
FROM ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND FIRE: Do not
cut into areas where you cannot identify possible
hazards behind or inside the surface being cut.
1. Clearly mark the line of cut.
2. From a convenient starting point within the
cutting area, place the tip of the Blade over that
point with the Saw parallel to the line of cut.
3. Place the edge of the Shoe on the work
piece with the Blade NOT touching the work
material. Squeeze the Trigger to start the tool
operating. Never start a plunge cut with
the Blade tip touching the work piece. This
will cause an immediate kick back, that can
damage the work piece, blade or cause injury.

Rotate Tool
on Shoe
4. Wait for the Saw to reach full speed, then
slowly rotate the tool on the Shoe as the Blade
contacts the work piece. Hold the tool firmly.
5. Continue to slowly rotate the tool until the
Blade has penetrated through the work
material. Press the Shoe firmly against the
work material and continue to make the cut.
Metal Cutting
1. Install a metal cutting blade.
2. Coat the cutting surface with cutting oil to
prevent the blade from overheating.
3. Follow general cutting procedure above.
