Overview

This document is the user manual for the Baumatic BM90S 900mm Built-In Oven. It provides comprehensive information on the oven's functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Baumatic BM90S is a 900mm built-in oven designed for cooking various types of food. It offers multiple cooking functions and features to ensure optimal performance and user convenience. The oven is equipped with a control panel that allows users to set various parameters, including cooking time, temperature, and specific cooking functions.

Key Cooking Functions:

  • Multi-Cooking Mode (2733-3278W): This mode utilizes top and bottom heating elements, as well as the fan, to distribute heat uniformly throughout the oven. It's suitable for dishes requiring a gratin finish or those requiring considerably prolonged cooking times, such as lasagna, pasta bakes, roast chicken, and potatoes. This mode helps achieve lower temperatures when cooking roasts, resulting in less loss of juices. It's also suitable for cooking fish, which can be prepared with the addition of a limited amount of condiments, maintaining their flavor and appearance. Excellent results are obtained when cooking vegetable-based side dishes like courgettes, aubergines, and peppers.
  • Pizza Mode (3166-3660W): This mode combines bottom and circle heating elements with the fan, resulting in a rapid and uniform distribution of heat. It's ideal for pizzas, bread, and large roasts, ensuring a crispy base and even cooking.
  • Delicate Cooking (1367-1570W): This function uses the bottom heating element and the fan to achieve gentle cooking. It's suitable for pastries, cakes, and non-dry sweets, ensuring even baking and preventing excessive browning.
  • "Top" Oven (1330-1523W): This mode utilizes the top heating element to provide heat from above. It's suitable for browning the top of dishes.
  • Grill (2928-3375W): This function uses the central heating elements to deliver intense, direct heat. It's highly recommended for dishes that require a high temperature on the surface, such as beef steaks, veal, rib steaks, fillets, and hamburgers.
  • Fan Assisted Grill (2953-3400W): This mode combines the top central heating elements with the fan, circulating hot air to improve the effectiveness of the grill. This helps prevent food from burning on the surface while penetrating right into the food. It's excellent for kebabs, sausages, ribs, lamb chops, chicken in a spicy sauce, quails, pork chops, and stuffed cuttlefish.
  • Baking Mode (1950-2276W): This mode uses the rear heating element and the fan to distribute heat uniformly. It's ideal for baking and cooking delicate foods, especially cakes that need to rise, and for the preparation of certain tartlets on shelves at the same time. Examples include cream puffs, sweet and savory biscuits, savory puffs, Swiss rolls, and small portions of vegetables au gratin.
  • "Defrosting" Mode (70-87W): This function uses the fan located at the bottom of the oven to circulate air at room temperature. It's recommended for defrosting all types of food, particularly for delicate types of food that do not require heat, such as ice cream, cakes, cream or custard desserts, and fruit cakes. For faster defrosting, the food can be placed on the middle shelf and turned over.

Timer Functions:

The oven includes several timer functions:

  • Memory Function: Allows saving frequently used settings.
  • Clock Functions: Sets the current time and manages cooking duration.
  • Cook Time: Sets the desired cooking time.
  • End Time: Sets the time when cooking should finish.
