4. Put on the housing, the rotor connection may be in any position.
5. Secure the housing using the four M4 screws.
• Note: Observe the tightening torques of the mounting screws.
• Important! All screws need to be secured!
6. Electrical connection

• Warning!Dangerofelectricshock!
Make sure tachogenerator is not live for the time of electrical commissio-
ning!
Switch off power supply of any equipment involved!
6.2. Electrical commissioning
• Remove terminal box cover with the „Thalheim“ label.
• Insert the connecting cable into gland PG7.
• Execute terminal assignment.
• Only use cables recommended by Baumer.
Type Terminal assignment
TD 3 A 4 KA (DC) Marked + and -
WTD 3 A 4 KA (AC) Marked + and -
DTD 3 A 4 KA (three-phase current) 1 = L1 3 = L3
2 = L2 4 = MP
• Tighten Pg7 gland at the terminal box cover.
• Put on the terminal box cover.
Note: the terminal box can be shifted by 180°.
7. Maintenance, repair & disposal
• Any repair work or opening of the tachogenerator by the manufacturer only.
• Disposeofallintegratedcomponentsincompliancewiththecountry-specic
provisions.
