If you can't select a gear on your BCS Tractor, it's possible that pressure washing has removed the lubrication from the gear lever detent ball. To fix this, grease the detent ball and quadrant.

Why is my BCS 740 Tractor engine smoking?

      Yolanda WarrenAug 5, 2025
If your BCS Tractor engine is smoking, it could be due to petrol in the engine oil, possibly from leaving the fuel tap on during transportation. A simple fix is to change the engine oil. Another cause might be a contaminated air filter, in which case, replace the element.

What to do if I am unable to pull the engine over on my BCS 740?
    • W
      Willie Benjamin DVMAug 14, 2025
If you are unable to pull the engine over on your BCS Tractor, it might be because the machine was tipped on its side during cleaning, causing engine oil to fill the cylinder bore and create a hydraulic lock. To resolve this, remove the spark plug and air filter, stand to one side, and pull the engine over to clear out the oil. After that, change the engine oil and air filter, and clean the spark plug.
