What to do if I forgot my BEC Wireless Router password?
    • S
      Steven CraneAug 11, 2025
If you've forgotten your login username or password for your BEC Wireless Router, first try the default username "admin" and password "admin". If that doesn't work, restore the router to its factory settings by pressing the reset button on the rear side of the device.

How to fix BEC Wireless Router firmware upgrade failure?
    • N
      Natasha RichmondAug 18, 2025
If the front LEDs on your BEC Wireless Router display incorrectly, and you still cannot access the router management interface after pressing the RESET button, or if the software/firmware upgrade failed, power on the router. Once the Power LED lights red, immediately press the reset button using a paper clip or similar object. The router’s emergency-reflash web interface will then be accessible via http://192.168.1.1, where you can upload a firmware image to restore the router to a functional state. Note that the router will only respond with its web interface at this address (192.168.1.1) and will not respond to ping requests from your PC or other telnet operations.

If you cannot PING any PC on your LAN using the BEC Wireless Router, check the Ethernet LEDs on the front panel. The LED should be on for the port that has a PC connected. If it is not lit, check the cable connection between your router and the PC to ensure it's properly connected. Also, make sure you have uninstalled your firewall program before troubleshooting. Verify that the IP address and the subnet mask are consistent for both the router and the workstations.

      Jacob WatsonSep 2, 2025
If none of the LEDs are on when you turn on your BEC Wireless Router, check the connection between the router and the adapter. If the problem persists, it is most likely due to a hardware malfunction. Please contact your service provider or BEC for technical support.
