If a radio station broadcasts TMC information in addition to
radio programming, this is indicated by the abbreviation

in the display. TMC information is received and analysed by
the navigation system. The reception of traffic announce-
ments is free of charge.
TMC is shown in QRUPDOVFULSW:
The current station is a TMC station. TMC is switched off.
TMC is shown in LQYHUVHVFULSW:
The current station is a TMC station. TMC is switched on.

If a telephone is installed in the vehicle and the mute function
for the telephone is activated, the telephone function can be
set in the User menu (Page 127).
With the setting
<;, the radio will be switched to mute
when a call comes in.
With the setting
<+06 :0.5(3 the sound of the telephone
will be heard through the radio unit if a call comes in (vehicle
ignition must be on).
This can only occur if, in addition to the telephone, a hands-
free unit with loudspeaker output is installed and connected to
the radio. In both cases
 will be displayed.
