Assembly and Operating Instructions
“Multicard II” plugin card (Art. no. 4023 200 040 0)
The “Multicard II” plugin card is solely designed as an addon for Becker door control systems S50II, S60 and S60II.
It can be used in conjunction with electric or pneumatic safety edges having a 1.2 kO or 8.2 kO terminating resistor or with
FRABA’s OSE safety system (operation of the control system to seal the door home is only possible with a closing edge safety
device).
In addition, it is also possible to use yard light functions, a photoelectric barrier and pulse input with stepping function, door
half open and automatic closing.

The installer must ensure that all the applicable rules and regulations are observed. In particular, EN 12453 “Safety in use of
power operated doors” and its regulatory references must be observed.
The contractor setting up the door system must ensure compliance with Machinery Directive 98/37/EC. He must make out a
declaration of conformity and issue a CE label for the door system.
Only spare parts, tools and additional equipment may be used which has been approved by the BECKER company. If
nonapproved products from other companies are used or if nonapproved modications are made, the manufacturer or
supplier will not accept any liability for any resulting injury, damage or consequential damage.
When the operating electrical or electronic systems and equipment, certain components are subjected to hazardous voltages.
If equipment is tampered with or warnings are not heeded, injuries or damage may occur.
Maintenance and repair work on electrical and electronic systems and equipment may only be performed by qualied staff.

Structural modications and incorrect installation which are not in accordance with these and our other instructions can
result in serious injuries, e.g. crushing of limbs. Therefore, structural modications should only be carried out with our prior
approval and in accordance with our instructions, particularly the information contained in these Assembly and Operating
Instructions.
Any further processing of the products which does not comply with their intended use is not permitted.
The end product manufacturer and tter have to ensure that all the current statutory, ofcial regulations and, in particular,
EMC regulations are adhered to during utilisation of our products, especially with regard to end product assembly, installation
and customer advice.
