Unpacking
Take the appliance, all accessories and 1.
the user manual out of the box.
Remove all packaging materials and pro-2.
tective foils from the product and the acces-
sories before using for the rst time.
Check for visible signs of damage or 3.
missing items.
NOTE
Never remove the rating plate or any
warning signs on the appliance.
Keep the original packaging during the
warranty or guarantee period in order to
return the appliance in the packaging in
the event of a guarantee claim. Transport
damage will invalidate the warranty or
guarantee.

Familiarise yourself with the appliance 1.
and the accessories using this user manual
before using the appliance for the rst time.
Before using for the rst time, clean the 2.
appliance and accessories as described
in the section Cleaning and mainte-
nance (page 18).
NOTE
When using for the rst time, it is
possible that production-related additives
such as grease could cause slight odour or
smoke. This is completely normal. Ensure
sufcient ventilation.

Safety equipment
The appliance is equipped with boil-dry safe-
ty protection.
If you forget to ll with water, the boil-dry
protection will switch off the appliance. The
red indicator lamp (13) lights up.
