Wait 5-10 minutes so that the appliance
can cool down. Rell the appliance with water
(see Relling with water, page 16). Switch
on the appliance again.
Operation and use
Indicator lamps (13/14)
: indicator lamp (14) for checking the
heating activity. When the water is being
heated, the indicator lamp lights up.
The indicator lamp lights up intermittently
while keeping warm and intermittent boiling.
: indicator lamp (13) lights up red to
indicate that the boil-dry protection is active
(rell with water, descale appliance).
Rotary knob (8)
the appliance is switched off.

Insert drip tray
The appliance is supplied with a drip tray (11)
for collecting any water that may drip after
dispensing water from the dispensing tap
(16).Fit this as follows:
Remove the teapot from the appliance.1.
Tip the appliance slightly backwards so 2.
that the arrow on the base of the appliance
raises from the table (image A1).
Place the drip tray under the appliance so 3.
that the arrow on the drip tray corresponds to
the arrow on the appliance base (image A2).
Lower the appliance into the groove on 4.
the drip tray so that it snaps in.
Place the cover (12) onto the drip tray.5.
NOTE
Assemble/disassemble the drip tray
only when the water container is empty.
Operating the dispensing tap
(images C1, C2)
Touch mode
Press the lever (17) downwards. The dis-1.
pensing tap (16) opens.
To close the dispensing tap, release the 2.
lever.
Continuous operation
Push the lever (17) fully backwards. It 1.
locks in this position. The dispensing tap (16)
opens.
To close the dispensing tap, push the le-2.
ver forwards.

with water (images B1, B2)
The lid (19) of the water tank (7) lies on top
of the water tank. To remove the lid, proceed
as follows:
Turn the marking on the lid (●) to the 1.
position (image B1).
Grip the handle (20) of the lid and lift it off.2.
Fill the tank with fresh water from the tap. 3.
Pay attention to the maximum level mark
(18).
Replace the lid with (●) at position 4. on
the appliance (image B1).
To lock, turn the lid with (●) to 5. (image
B2).
Switch on the appliance to brew tea.6.

CAUTION
Make sure that the rotary knob (8) is
turned to the position. Only then insert
the plug into the mains socket.
Fill the water tank (7) with the desired 1.
quantity of fresh water as described in the
section Before using for the rst time,
ll with water (page 15). Pay attention the
maximum lling level.
Close the lid (19) on the water tank (7). 2.
Subsequently put the teapot (4) on top.
