1.0 General / Introduction / Scope of Supply
The UNITEST Sound Level Meter 93411 is a general pur-
pose test instrument. The instrument is an important sup-
port for sound level determination for the installation and
service electrician in industry and handicraft as well as for
the DIY electrician.
The sound level meter is characterised by the following fea-
tures:
• Sound level measurements in accordance with the fre-
quency evaluation filters A and C, and with direct, digital
display in Decibel (dB)
• Time evaluation FAST, SLOW
• Display of maximum sound pressure level (MAX-HOLD),
tripod connection facility

2.0 Safety Measures
Measurements in dangerous proximity of electrical in-
stallations are only to be executed when instructed by
a responsible electrical specialist, and never alone.
If the operator’s safety is no longer ensured, the in-
strument is to be put out of service and protected
against use. The safety is no longer ensured, if the in-
strument:
• shows obvious damage
• does not carry out the desired measurements
• has been stored for too long under unfavourable condi-
tions
• has been subjected to mechanical stress during transport.
