(EN) Step 2: Controls
EUROCOM MA6480A/MA6018/MA6008/MA6000M
Co ntrols
(1) INPUT LEVEL knobs adjust the volume
of the corresponding input signals.
(2) MASTER EQ knobs adjust the bass
(LO), middle (MID – MA6480A only),
andtreble (HI) response.
(3) EQ SWEEP knobs (MA6480A)
adjustthe frequency and bandwidth of
the LO, MID and HI equalization knobs.
(4) AUX EQ knobs adjust the bass (LO) and
treble (HI) response of the AUX INPUTS.
(5) AUX knob adjusts the gain of the
AUXINPUTS.
(6) ZONE 2 knob adjusts the level of the
ZONE 2 OUTPUT.
(7) AUX SELECT buttons determine which
of the 4 AUX INPUTS are included in
the main mix. The activated button
illuminates while the other inputs
are muted. Pressing an already active
button mutes all 4 inputs.
(8) VU METERS indicate the signal level of
the main mix and zone 2.
(9) MASTER VOLUME knob adjusts
the master output level of the main
mixbus.
(10) INDICATOR RING glows yellow when
the power is on, and turns red at onset
of clipping.
(11) POWER switch turns the unit on
and o.
(12) MIC/LINE INPUT accepts balanced or
unbalanced, microphone or line-level
signals via XLR/TRS combination jack.
(13) EUROBLOCK INPUT accepts
microphone or line-level signals via
5-pin Euroblock connector. From left
to right, the pins are ground, positive,
negative, control, and direct out.
(14) EUROBLOCK INPUT (MA6480A)
accepts microphone or line-level
signals via Euroblock connector.
Channels 1 and 2 have pins for ground,
positive, negative, andchannel 2 has
a mute pin.
(15) MIC/LINE switch (MA6480A)
optimizesthe input for line-level,
microphone-level, or microphone-level
with phantom power.
(16) PRIORITY switch (MA6480A)
determines the muting of channel2
when channel 1 is active. In VOX
mode, channel 1 remains o until it
receives an audio signal, which then
mutes channel 2 momentarily. In OFF
mode, channel 1 remains o until it
is remotely activated by shorting the
MUTE pin to ground, at which time
channel 2 is muted. In the ON position,
channel 1 functions normally with
nopriority.
(17) CHANNEL EQ knobs adjust the treble
(HIGH) and bass (LOW) frequencies of
the channel.
(18) GAIN knob adjusts the gain of the
channel input.
(19) INPUT DIP SWITCHES control various
aspects of the channel. Refer to the dip
switch chart for more information.
(20) REMOTE connector provides terminals
for common, +5 VDC, remote volume,
AUX input select, and power toggle.
Use this 5-pin Euroblock to connect
to an optional remote control.
Thecorresponding switch determines
whether the remote volume control
aects the main signal or the
AUXinputs.
(21) AUX INPUTS allow the connection of
4 stereo signals that are summed to
mono and included in the main and/or
zone 2 mixes.
(22) TEL/PAGE INPUT allows connection to
a paging system via detachable 4-pin
Euroblock connector.
(23) PAGE DIP SWITCHES engage
various functions and features of
thePAGEinput.
(24) CHIME knob adjusts the volume
of a chime that sounds before
anannouncement.
(25) MUTE knob adjusts how much the
PAGE signal overrides all other signals.
(26) MOH knob adjusts the level of the
signal on the Music on Hold bus.
(27) PAGE knob adjusts the level of the
PAGE INPUT.
(28) BRIDGE INPUT receives a balanced
signal from another mixer,
allowingmultiple units to be
daisychained.
(29) BRIDGE OUTPUT sends a
balanced signal to another mixer,
allowingmultiple units to be
daisychained.
(30) ZONE 2/MOH OUTPUT sends line-level
audio from the Zone 2 mix, and sends
a line-level Main mix to a telephone's
Music-on-hold input.
(31) MAIN DIP SWITCHES assign
routing options that aect audio
from the aux inputs, tel/page input,
andinternalchime.
(32) PRE OUT/LO-Z output provides a
balanced, line-level send and return
for insertion of external processing
equipment into the main mix before it
enters the LO-Z output.
(33) PRE OUT/HI-Z output provides a
balanced, line-level send and return
for insertion of external processing
equipment into the main mix before it
enters the HI-Z output.
(34) AMPLIFIER OUTPUTS sends the
main mix signal to LO-Z and/
orHI-Zloudspeakers.
(35) HI-Z MODE switch selects between
70V or 100 V HI-Z operation.
(36) BALANCE knob adjusts the relative
output of the HI-Z and LO-Z ampliers.
(37) MAIN MIX OUTPUT (MA6000M)
sendsa balanced mic or line-level
signal to an external amplier.
(38) MAIN MIX LEVEL switch (MA6000M)
sets the main mix output to either mic
level or line-level.
(39) VOLTAGE SELECTOR switch selects
between 120 V and 240 V operation.
This switch is set at the factory and
should not be altered.
(40) POWER INPUT accepts the standard
IEC power cable.
