The Beko Refrigerator is designed for the storage and freezing of edible foodstuffs. It features a refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment. The appliance utilizes non-CFC/HFC natural substances (R600a) in its cooling system and cyclopentane in its insulation, making it environmentally friendly.

Some models may also include Blue light/HarvestFresh technology in the crispers. This feature illuminates fruits and vegetables with blue, green, red lights, and dark cycles to simulate a day cycle, promoting photosynthesis and preserving vitamin content for a longer time. If the refrigerator door is opened during the dark period of HarvestFresh, the system automatically detects this and enables blue-green or red light for user convenience.
The freezer compartment is equipped with a Freezer Guard feature, ensuring that frozen food will not defrost even if the ambient temperature drops as low as -15 °C. This makes the appliance suitable for installation in garages or unheated rooms without concern for food spoilage.
Before Operating: Before initial use, ensure the appliance is freestanding (not built-in), the feet are adjusted for leveling, the interior is dry, and air circulates freely at the rear. The interior should be cleaned as recommended in the "Maintenance and cleaning" section. Once plugged in, the fridge interior light will illuminate when the door is open. A normal noise will be heard as the compressor starts. The front edges of the cabinet may feel warm, which is normal and designed to prevent condensation. It is recommended to wait until the correct storage temperature is reached before loading food.
Temperature Control and Adjustment: The operating temperature is regulated by the thermostat knob. Numbers around the knob indicate cooling degrees, with "1" being the lowest cooling (warmest setting) and "5" being the highest cooling (coldest setting). The average fridge temperature should be around +5°C. The interior temperature is influenced by seasonal temperatures, frequency of door openings, food temperature when placed inside, and the refrigerator's location (e.g., exposure to sunlight). If the ambient temperature is higher than 25°C, turn the thermostat button to the maximum position. If lower than 25°C, turn it to the minimum position.
Storing Frozen Food: Prepacked commercially frozen food should be stored according to the manufacturer's instructions. Place packets in the freezer as quickly as possible after purchase, ensure they are labeled and dated, and do not exceed "Use By" dates. In case of a power failure, avoid opening the door; frozen food should remain unaffected for up to 21 hours.
Freezing Fresh Food: To achieve the best results, do not freeze large quantities at once. Food quality is best preserved when frozen quickly. Do not exceed the appliance's freezing capacity (5 kg in 24 hours). When freezing fresh food, turn the control toward MAX. Small quantities (up to 1/2 kg) can be frozen without adjusting the temperature control. Avoid mixing already frozen food with fresh food.
Making Ice Cubes: Fill the ice-cube tray 3/4 full with water and place it in the Ice Bank. Use a spoon handle to loosen frozen trays; avoid sharp objects. Store ice cubes in the Ice Bank. Note that freshly made ice cubes will slowly reduce in size and disappear if not consumed for several weeks.
