When the garden pump is working, the water outlet (e.g. tap or water sprin-
kling outlet) must be open so as to discharge the air from the hose. If the water
outlet is closed, the pump may be damaged due to overheating of the pump af-
ter working for more than 5 minutes.
• Freezing of the pump or placing it in a frosty space in the winter must be
avoided.
• Sand and stones in the water taken in can rapidly wear the pump and reduce
its eective capacity. It is therefore necessary to install a lter.
This water pump is not suitable for long-term operation, e.g. in industrial or
mining enterprises or for a water recycling system.
6.2 Safety requirements
The power supply must comply with the specications displayed on the prod-
uct. Refer to the instructions of your local energy supplier if necessary for con-
necting conditions. If the pump or the power cable do not comply, do not con-
nect the pump!
• Never carry the pump by the cable.
• Never remove the plug and never shorten the cable. If you do, you will invali-
date your guarantee. Keep the connection (plug and socket) dry.
The pump is not suitable for use in swimming pools and lakes or other situa-
tions where persons could come into physical contact with the water and must
therefore not be used for this purpose.
• Always disconnect the pump from the power supply when cleaning it or carry-
ing out maintenance to the pond. This pump is suitable for pumping water with
a minimum temperature of 4 °C and a maximum temperature of 35 °C.
The pump must not run dry, as this will cause irreparable damage.
• Always disconnect the pump from the mains supply before cleaning or main-
tenance.
• Clean the chambers from time to time, rinsing them with clean water, to en-
sure they are not clogged with dirt.
7 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention! Before performing any work on the equipment, pull the
power plug.
7.1 Cleaning
Under normal conditions, the water pump is free of maintenance. However,
the pump should not be placed in the open air during rain, in a humid place, or
dirty or frozen environment.
• Freezing, idling or blocking by impurities should be avoided.
• Always disconnect the power supply before maintenance of the pump.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by professional personnel.
Damage caused by short circuiting is not included in scope of the guarantee.
• If trouble with the pump is experienced, guaranteed repairs must be carried
out by an authorized maintenance center.
Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water, etc. These
solvents may damage the plastic parts.

10 TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The electric motor is run-
ning but the pump does not
suck water
After the pump starts, the
pump body does not ll
with water
Fill the pump with water
Insucient tightness of the
suction hose
Check the recommended
and used pans and compo-
nents of the pump, e.g. joint
of the suction nose, joint of
the pressure hose, clamping
ring, suction hose, etc., in-
cluding screw sealing strip
made from Teon or hemp
cord. The pump can work
only when weII sealed
The lter screen of the
non-return valve of the
sucking inlet is blocked
Clean the non-return of the
sucking inlet and the l-
ter screen
The air can1 be released
from the pressure hose be-
cause the water outlet is
closed
When the pump starts suck-
ing, open the water outlet
(e.g. the tap. sprinkling noz-
zle etc.)
The waiting time does not
correspond to the regu-
lations
Fill the whole suction hose
with water, or recheck ii at
least 7 minutes after the
pump starts
Excessive suction head
(>8m)
Reduce the suction head
The non-return fails to suck
water
Check the water level of the
well or the water pool. If
possible, increase the length
of the suction hose.
The electromotor can-
not run
No power supplied Check the power supply
The ventilator hood ob-
scures rotation of the vane
Pull out the power plug, re-
move the ventilator hood
with a screwdriver, then re-
install ii again by slightly ro-
tating the vane and check
to see if it rotates freely
Fan blocked Pull out the power plug,
move the shaft with the
screwdriver through the
ventilator hood. If the shaft
is blocked, send it to a ser-
vice center for inspection
Insucient water owout Excessive suction head
(>8m)
Check the suction head
The lter screen of the
non-return is blocked
Clean the lter screen
The suction water level low-
ered too much
Immerse the non-return in
deep water
Impurities have reduced
the eective capacity of the
pump
Wash the shell of the pump,
the suction hose and the
outlet pressure hose with
pressurized water
The heat-sensitive switch
cannot switch o the pump
Over-load of the elec-
tric motor due to friction
caused by impurities enter-
ing the motor
Wash the shell of the pump
with pressured water
The switch of the pump is
always OFF or ON
No non-return valve in-
stalled on the suction hose
Check to see if a valve is in-
stalled on the suction hose
Frequent switching ON/OFF
of the pump switch (when
used for household water
supply system)
Rupture of the rubber enve-
lope in the pressure tank
Replace the rubber enve-
lope or the container
No compressed air in the
container
Use an adequate valve and
conned this -with a com-
pressed air supply at 1.8
bar, and ll the container
with air
