6. Depress the Brake Pedal (5) and then engage the Park Brake Lever (14).
7. When starting from cold, move the Throttle Lever (9) to the CHOKE position
shown on the label.
8. If the engine is already warm, position the Throttle Lever (9) between SLOW and
FAST.
9. Put in the Ignition Key (13) and turn to ON to make electrical contact and engage
the starter motor, then turn to START to start the engine.
10. Release the Ignition Key (13) once the engine has started.
11. After the engine has started, move the Throttle Lever (8) to SLOW.
TRANSPORTING WITHOUT MOWING
This machine has not been approved for use on public roads. It must be
used (as indicated by the highway code) in private areas closed to trafc.
When moving the machine, the blades must be disengaged, and the cutting deck raised
as high as possible. (Position 7):
1. Use Blade Start / Stop Knob (12) and disengage the blades.
2. Use Cutting Height Adjustment Lever (2) to lift the cutting deck as high as possible
(position 7).
3. Position the Throttle Lever (9) between SLOW and FAST.
4. Disengage the Parking Brake and release the Brake Pedal. Press the Drive Pedal in
direction F (Forward) and reach the required speed by gradually increasing
pressure on the pedal and working the throttle.
5. Gradually reach the desired speed using the Throttle Lever (9).
The Brake Pedal (5) must be released gradually as a sudden engagement
may cause the machine to tip over and the driver to lose control.
BRAKING
1. First, reduce the speed of the machine by using the Throttle Lever (9).
2. Next, push the Brake Pedal (5) down to lower the speed even more until the
machine stops.
REVERSE
Reverse must be engaged only when the machine has stopped
completely.
1. Press the Brake Pedal (5) until the machine comes to a complete stop.
2. When the machine is completely stopped, start the reverse movement by
pressing the Drive Engagement (15) to reverse R direction.
