Prior
to
.procedure turn you will return to
HDG mode in order to select your outbound
heading. Approach Coupled mode will au-
tomatically cancel.
During the procedure turn outbound, the
deviation bar shows pictorially that the air-
craft is flying away from the Localizer cen-
terline at a
45"
angle on a selected heading
of 283".

Now you have reset the heading select
bug tol03"and madealapturn tothis head-
ing. This 103" heading will intercept the front
course. The PNI clearly pictures the course
you are to intercept and the angle of intercep-
tion. APPR ARM mode has been selected
so
that automatic capture
of
the Localizer will
occur.
