10.0 Introduction

being

comprehensive
information
pack,
and
it is
the
responsibility
of
the
owner,
user,
or
hirer, of
such
products
supplied
by Benson
Environmental
Ltd
to
ensure
that
operators
are
provided
with
the
operator
manual,
and
that
they
are
suitably
instructed
regarding
the
purpose
of
the
manual
and
safety instructions.
In
addition
to this,
operators
must
also be
suitably
and
adequately
trained
in the
lise
of
the
product.
Contained
with
the
text
of
this
manual,
the
words
'Caution'
and
'Warning'
are
used
to
highlight
certain
points.
Caution is
used
when
failure to follow
or
implement
the
instruction(s)
can
lead
to a
premature
failure
or
damage
b
eing
occasioned
to the
heater
or
its
component
parts.
Warning is
used
when
failure to
heed
or
implement
the instruction(s)
can
lead
not
only
to
component
damage,
but
can
also lead to a haz
ardous
situation
being
created
where
there is a risk of
personal
injury
or
death.
10.1
Commissioning
and
hand
over
Warning
As
part
of
the
commissioning
programme,
the
commissioning
engineer
must
go
through
the
following
with
the
operator.
(i)
Lighting,
shutdown,
and
operational
information.
(ij) Safety features,
data
plate,
and
labelling.
(iij)
The
requirement
for
regular
inspection
- especially if
the
heater
is
within
a
more
demanding
environment
-
and
the
need
for
regular
servicing,
carried
out
by
competent
and
qualified
engineers.
