1. Important safety instructions
CAUTION:
To prevent personal injury and/or product/property damage:

ever leave a child unattended while on the scale, even for a moment.
E
nsure the baby lies down in the tray with minimal movement. Excessive movement could result
in a fall, potentially causing serious injury.
E
nsure the equipment is placed on a flat, level and stable surface. Ensure that there is no risk
of the equipment tipping over.
K
eep scale away from moisture, dust, chemicals, toiletries, liquid cosmetics, extreme hot and
cold temperatures, and sources of heat (e.g., open flame, radiators).
P
revent impact with hard objects.
D
o not place any object on the scale when it is not in use.
S
trong electromagnetic fields (e.g. cell phones) may impair the accuracy of the scale.
T
he scale is not intended to be used for commercial purposes.
R

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REQUIRED BY THE FCC
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the
users authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio
frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception,
which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct
the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
2. Battery Handling and Usage:
WARNING - To reduce the risk of serious personal injury:
Keep batteries away from children and pets. Batteries may be harmful if swallowed. Should a
child or pet swallow a battery, seek medical assistance immediately.
Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety and usage instructions.
Never throw batteries into a fire. Dispose or recycle spent/discharged batteries in compliance
with all applicable laws.
CAUTION:
Always use the size and type of battery indicated.
Do not mix a used battery with a new battery, or mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or recharge-
able (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
Insert the batteries observing the proper polarity (+/−) as indicated.
NOTICE: To reduce the risk of product and/or property damage:
Clean the battery contacts and those of the device prior to installation.
Remove spent or discharged batteries from the product.
Remove the batteries when not using the product for an extended period.
