E & F type flare
Shorten the pipe to the desired length.
Ensure the cut is clean and straight.
Deburr the cutting surface, this is the only way to achieve exact flaring.
Insert the pipe into the suitable retaining bracket bore (4). The pipe must
protrude out of the retaining bracket by dimension A.
Dimension A can be determined using the “Table for pipe projection” .
Fasten the pipe with the wing nuts in the retaining bracket (4), starting with
the wing screw which is closest to the clamped pipe.
Fit the appropriate pressure piece (5-11) as shown in the illustration.
Place the pressing tool (1) on the retaining bracket (4) and press the
pressure piece (5-11) into the pipe by rotating it.
Stop the process when the pressure piece (5-11) rests against the
retaining bracket (4).
Loosen the pressure spindle (2) and remove the pressure piece (5-11)
from the pipeline.
Remove the pressing tool (1).
Loosen the wing screws and remove the flared pipe.
The production of flare F is now complete.
Carry on as follows for flare E.
Place the pressing tool (1) on the retaining bracket (4) and create the
conical seat surface by turning the pressure spindle with the cone (3) at
the end of the pressure spindle (2).
