Maintenance Features
Maintaining the BidetMate BM-1000R is straightforward, ensuring longevity and hygiene:
- Screen Filter Cleaning: The screen filter, located at the water supply hose connection, should be regularly cleaned to prevent blockages and maintain water pressure. This involves closing the water valve, disconnecting the hose, removing the filter, cleaning it with a soft brush, and reassembling.
- Cleaning the Unit Body: The exterior of the bidet should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Abrasive cleaners, chemicals, or strong detergents should be avoided to prevent damage to the plastic surface. The power plug should be disconnected before cleaning.
- Draining of Remaining Water: For maintenance or when the bidet will not be used for an extended period, the remaining water can be drained. This involves removing the power plug, closing the water valve, pressing the lever plate, and gently pulling the outlet to remove the drain plug, then opening the drain plug.
- Maintenance during Winter Season: For extended periods of non-use during winter, it is recommended to unplug and drain the unit to prevent freezing damage.
- Automatic Tank Draining: This feature helps maintain the internal water tank by draining it automatically if the seat is not occupied for 48 hours. This can also be manually activated.
- Nozzle Cleaning: The nozzle performs an automatic self-cleaning cycle before and after each use. A manual nozzle cleaning function is also available, which extends and stops the nozzle 3 times for thorough cleaning.
