Problem Possible cause Solution
No beer can
be drawn.
Is the beer keg empty?
Check the beer keg and insert a new
one if necessary (see the “Preparation”
chapter – “Tapping Into and Connecting
the Beer Keg”).
Is the CO
2
cartridge (26)
empty?
Replace the CO
2
cartridge (see the
“Preparation” chapter – “Inserting /
Replacing the CO
2
Cartridge”).
Was the CO
2
cartridge not
pierced correctly?
Take out the cartridge and insert it
again. If it still cannot be pierced, the
tapping tip (31) needs to be replaced
(see the “Maintenance” chapter –
“Replacing the Sealing Ring of the CO
2
Line and Tapping Tip”).
Is the beer keg connected
correctly?
Check the connections to the beer pump
and correct them if necessary (see the
“Preparation” chapter – “Tapping Into
and Connecting the Beer Keg”).
Do the lines have leaks?
Check the sealing ring between the
tapping sword (22) and valve unit (20)
and in the mount for the cartridge
sleeve (16) and replace it if necessary
(see the “Maintenance” chapter –
“Replacing the Sealing Ring of the CO
2
Line and Tapping Tip” and “Replac-
ing the Sealing Ring of the Tapping
Sword”).
CO is
escaping.
Has the cartridge
sleeve (16) been fully
tightened?
Screw the cartridge sleeve as far as it
will go on the mount in the lid.
Are the valve of the CO
2
line (19) and the corre-
sponding adapter (21)
plugged together correctly?
Press the valve of the
CO
2
line
as far
as it will go onto the adapter. It must
engage audibly!
Are the screw connections
on the CO
2
line (19) loose?
Tighten the screw connections.
Do the lines have leaks?
Check the sealing ring between the
tapping sword (22) and valve unit (20)
and in the mount for the cartridge
sleeve (16) and replace it if necessary
(see the “Maintenance” chapter –
“Replacing the Sealing Ring of the CO
2
Line and Tapping Tip” and “Replac-
ing the Sealing Ring of the Tapping
Sword”).
