  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't picking up solution and water, several factors could be at play. Ensure the ReadyTools Dial is correctly set for either Tools or Floor Cleaning. Check that the nozzle window is properly attached by ensuring the two tabs on the back are inserted through the slots in the main housing. Also, verify that the Tank-in-Tank lid is correctly installed and that the Tank-in-Tank is firmly seated. If using hand-held attachments, adjust the angle and apply more downward pressure. Finally, the Tank-in-Tank might be full, so empty it and refill.

  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner has reduced or no spray, the lint screen may be clogged; clean it out. The Tank-in Tank may not be seated properly; turn the power switch OFF, remove the tank, and reseat it. The pump may have lost its prime; turn the power switch OFF, wait one minute, then turn it ON and depress the spray trigger. It's also possible that the pump belt may be broken; in that case, turn the power switch OFF and unplug the machine to check the belt.

  If the DirtLifter PowerBrush on your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't turning, the brush belt or pump belt may be broken. To check, turn the power switch OFF and unplug the machine. You'll need a flat head screwdriver to open the belt access door and examine the belt for breakage.
