To fix this, unplug the unit, align the two 'hooks' into the bottom first, and then snap it into place on top. Debris in the removable nozzle or a clogged red lint screen under the collection tank could also be the cause. Unplug the unit, remove the nozzle and rinse under running water, and clear any debris from the lint screen.
