  Loss of suction power in your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner can occur due to several reasons. The dirty tank might not be seated correctly, so pick it up and reseat it. Also, the dirty tank may be full, so empty it if it has reached the maximum fill line. Check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly on all edges to ensure it's tightly sealed. Make sure the accessory hose door is closed and locked tightly. Additionally, the nozzle might be clogged, in which case you should use the nozzle clean out tool. Lastly, ensure the brush roll cover is fully snapped into place by removing the nozzle and brush roll cover, and making sure you hear both buttons click into place.

  If you experience reduced or no spray through the foot of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, the clean water tank may be empty, so refill it. Alternatively, the tank might not be seated completely. Turn the power OFF, then remove and reseat the tank.

  If there is no spray through the CleanShot® feature of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, first, check if the Clean Water tank is empty and refill it if needed. Also, ensure the Clean Tank is properly seated by turning the power OFF and reseating the tank. Make sure the machine is reclined by pressing the recline pedal and bringing the handle down. Finally, the pump may have lost prime. To resolve this, with the machine off and unplugged, remove the nozzle from the foot. Place a ball point pen in the black cylinder next to the screw; when water bubbles up, remove the pen and reassemble the nozzle before cleaning again.

  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner tank is leaking, it may have been over-filled. Ensure the tank has the correct amount of water and formula. With the cap twisted on tightly, hold the tank at an angle over a sink or drain to pour out any extra water. Wipe the tank dry with a cloth. Also, water may be caught in the space between the tank and the tank’s handle.
