  There are several reasons why your Bissell Cleaning Equipment might not be picking up the cleaning formula: * The upholstery/carpet tool position might be poor - reposition the tool on the surface, following recommended cleaning procedures. * The Dirty Water Tank could be full - empty the tank. * There might be excess formula in the Flex Hose - lift the tool and point it upwards to allow water in the hose to flow into the Dirty Water Tank. * You might be using the incorrect cleaning formula - use BISSELL® 2X Portable Machine formulas only. * The Dirty Water Tank might be improperly seated onto the base - remove the tank and reseat it onto the unit. * The Dirty Water Tank plug might be unplugged - push in the tank plug until properly sealed.

How to fix reduced or no spray in Bissell SPOTCLEAN 36984?

  If your Bissell Cleaning Equipment has reduced spray or no spray, it could be due to several reasons: * The spray nozzle might be clogged - clean the spray nozzle using an unfolded paper clip. * The Clean Water/Formula Tank might be empty - check and fill the tank. * The Clean Water/Formula Tank insert might be clogged - clean the insert at the bottom of the tank. * The pump might need priming - gently lift the Clean Water/Formula Tank while pressing the spray trigger OR gently squeeze clean tank while pressing spray trigger. * The Clean Water/Formula Tank might not be fully seated - remove and reinstall the tank.

  If the Dirty Water Tank of your Bissell Cleaning Equipment is leaking, consider the following: * The duckbill valve might be dirty. Clean the duckbill valve located at the bottom of the Dirty Water Tank and ensure it is securely placed back. * The Float Stack might not be fully locked on the Dirty Water Tank. * The Dirty Water Tank might not be properly seated onto the machine. Remove and reseat it onto the unit.
