This self-contained, rechargeable unit can start most vehicles without the need for a host vehicle or external 12-volt DC power supply.

Function Description:

The primary function of this device is to jump-start vehicles with a 12-volt DC battery system. It is equipped with heavy-duty cables and clamps for connecting to a vehicle's battery. The unit also features a 5-volt DC USB charging port for powering external USB-powered devices and a built-in LED area light for emergency illumination. A keyless ON/OFF power switch controls the jump-starter function, and a separate ON/OFF switch controls the USB port. The area light also has its own power switch. The unit includes a built-in 120-volt AC charger (requires a standard extension cord, not included) for recharging its internal battery.

Usage Features:

Jump-Starting: The unit is designed for jump-starting 12-volt DC lead-acid batteries only. It is crucial to follow specific connection procedures: for negative-grounded systems (most common), connect the positive (red) clamp to the vehicle battery's positive terminal and the negative (black) clamp to the vehicle chassis or engine block, away from the battery. For positive-grounded systems (rare), connect the negative (black) clamp to the vehicle battery's negative terminal and the positive (red) clamp to the vehicle chassis or engine block. Always ensure the jump-starter power switch is OFF before making connections. Once connected, turn the switch ON, crank the engine in 5-6 second bursts, then turn the switch OFF and disconnect the clamps (negative first, then positive).
USB Power Port: To use, press the USB Power Port ON pushbutton. Plug the USB-powered device into the port. Note that this port only provides 5V/500mA DC power and does not support data communication.
Emergency Area Light: The LED area light is controlled by its dedicated power switch on the front panel.
Battery Status Indicators: Easy-to-read LED indicators display the battery charge status. A Battery Charge Level Pushbutton allows users to check the charge level at any time.
Reverse Polarity Warning: The unit features a reverse polarity connection warning indicator (red light and continuous alarm) that activates if the clamps are connected incorrectly, prompting disconnection and correct reconnection.

Maintenance Features:

Recharging: The internal sealed lead-acid battery should be kept fully charged for maximum battery life. It is recommended to recharge the unit after purchase, before first use, immediately after each use, and once a month if not used. Initial AC charging should be for a full 24 hours. The unit cannot be overcharged using the AC charging method. If the battery is overly discharged, and the green LED is lit when the charger is plugged in, it indicates a high impedance stage, requiring 24-48 hours of charging before use.
Cleaning: Never submerge the unit in water. If dirty, clean the outer surfaces with a soft cloth moistened with a mild solution of water and detergent.
Part Replacement: There are no user-replaceable parts. Periodically inspect adapters, connectors, and wires. Contact the manufacturer for replacement of worn or broken components.
Battery Disposal: The unit contains a sealed, non-spillable, lead-acid battery that must be disposed of properly according to local, state, and federal regulations. Recycling is required. Do not dispose of the battery in fire, and protect exposed terminals with heavy-duty electrical tape before disposal to prevent shorting.

Burst Hazard: Do not use for charging dry-cell batteries; only for lead-acid batteries.
Shock Hazard: Ensure extension cords are properly wired and sized, and avoid using the unit with damaged cords or plugs. Never submerge the unit in water.
Explosive Gases: Lead-acid batteries generate explosive gases. Work in well-ventilated areas, avoid sparks or flames, and remove personal metal items when working near the battery.
Injury/Property Damage: Avoid incorrect clamp connections, do not jump-start frozen batteries, and ensure vehicle's computerized systems are compatible with external starting assistance.
General Safety: Read all instructions, avoid dangerous environments (damp/wet locations, rain), keep children away, store idle appliances indoors, use appropriate clothing and safety equipment (goggles, face shield, hard hat, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes), and do not abuse the cord.
