ANTI-SPLINTERING SHOE POSITION
(Turn OFF and UNPLUG saw)
Your saw is equipped with
an
anti-splintering shoe which is particularly useful
when cutting plywood. To help control splintering
for
a smoother cut, loosen
(do
not
remove) the screw in the bottom
of
the shoe, as shown in Figure
1.
Slide the shoe back, as shown in the figure,
as
far as
it
will go. Tighten the
screw
to
hold the shoe in
this
position.
NOTE: The anti-splintering position
of
the shoe can only
be
used when the
blade is in the straight (0" bevel) setting. (Do not
cut
metal
with
the shoe
in the anti-splintering position.)
